He has urged South Africans to get vaccinated to avoid a “devastating fourth wave” in December. He has limited all gatherings to a maximum of 250 people indoors and 500 people outdoors. The curfew will be from 11 pm to 4 am, with restaurants having to close by 10 pm. The sale of alcohol will now be permitted from Monday to Friday, between 10 am and 6 pm. Funerals remain restricted to no more than 50 people. “After-tears” and night vigils are still not allowed.
