Lerato Sokhulu is a dynamic entertainer with a passion for jazz and storytelling. She first made waves in the entertainment industry as a radio personality in 2015, and just two years later, earned a prestigious nomination for Best Nighttime Show at the 2018 Liberty Radio Awards.

Driven by creativity, Lerato became a scriptwriter and content producer for SABC 3’s Afternoon Express Show, honing her skills behind the scenes. With over a decade in media, she has collaborated with top broadcasters and award-winning advertisers, becoming one of the most sought-after voice-over artists in the industry.

But Lerato’s talents don’t stop there, comedy called her name, and she answered. She made her stand-up debut at the Shnit Film Festival Awards in 2019, and by 2024, she was selected as one of the Top 20 Newcomer Comedians at the Savanna Comics’ Choice Awards. Known for her infectious laugh, eccentric charm, and down-to-earth vibe, she brings that same energy to the airwaves.

Now, as the host of Smile FM’s South Africa Jazz Show, Lerato combines her love for smooth melodies, rich storytelling, and effortless wit to create a listening experience that’s as vibrant as she is.
