The Department of Transport will next month launch a full-scale, nationwide project to rid the country’s roads of potholes. Minister Fikile Mbalula says there’ll be close cooperation with provincial governments and municipalities to fix potholes as soon as they are reported. He says damaged roads directly contribute to a downturn in economic activity and drives away investment.
