The health department says 965 new corona virus cases have been reported in the country, over the latest 24-hour monitoring period. The minister of health, Dr. Zweli Mkhize says another 15 deaths were recorded, taking the death toll to 52 663. At the moment, there are more than 20 000 active cases in South Africa. The recovery rate remains at 95%.
