Opposition parties have cautiously welcomed the budget speech and the Finance Minister not increasing the fuel levy and personal income tax.

For the first time in 32 years, there is no annual increase in the fuel levy. The Democratic Alliance’s Dion George says the minister could have done more. The ACDP’s Steve Swart has says welcomed the slight tax relief.
