WATCH: Some of the best moments at Oscars 2024

Published on

Oppenheimer has swept this year’s Oscars as expected, and the evening was full of glitz and glamour, plenty of laughs, but also plenty of tears and poignant moments.

The winners were announced on Sunday night at a lavish event at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, Los Angeles.

Oppenheimer won 7 Oscars, including Best Director for Christopher Nolan, Best Actor for Cillian Murphy and Best Supporting Actor for Robert Downey Jr.

Emma Stone won the Best Actress Oscar for Poor Things. Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas won in the Best Original Song category for “What Was I Made For?” from Barbie, the duo’s second Oscar.

While Oppenheimer and Poor Things dominated, Ryan Gosling’s rendition of “I’m Just Ken” was undoubtedly one of the highlights of the show:

Another highlight was a funny skit involving John Cena, who almost appeared on stage naked:

Best actress Oscar winner Emma Stone delighted with her acceptance speech:

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito reunited, not because they’re ‘Twins’ — but former Batman villains. It was Batman’s look of “come and get me” (or was it Bruce Wayne?) that won the night:

Billie Eilish managed to deliver a haunting rendition of her Oscar winning song, “What Was I made For”:
