New retirement laws may see employees with more cash

The Public comment period is open until the end of August, for you to have your say about proposed changes to retirement laws. The National Treasury has published the proposed changes to the retirement system, that will allow South Africans access, to up to one-third of their retirement savings throughout their career, while the rest will not be accessible until they retire. Key Account Manager at Old Mutual, Michelle Acton says this is the long-awaited two-pot retirement system.
