Murders on the Cape Flats have not abated. In the latest shooting incident, early yesterday morning in Retreat, a woman was killed, while another was wounded and taken to the hospital. Cases of murder and attempted murder are being probed.

The Police’s FC van Wyk says officers were called out to a premises in Orrel Avenue, when they discovered the bodies. Steenberg Police have opened dockets to probe the cases. Van Wyk says the circumstances surrounding this incident are under investigation. The motive is believed to be gang-related.

The suspects are yet to be arrested. Cape Town Police have called on the public to come forward with information, following the murder of a 35-year-old woman and the attempted murder of a 39-year-old woman in Retreat early yesterday morning.
