More than 250 000 vaccines doses have been administered in the country, in the latest 24-hour cycle, pushing total inoculations to over 13-million.

Health Minister Dr Joe Phaahla and Deputy Minister Sibongiseni Dhlomo are this morning, visiting the vaccination site at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in Soweto, and will hold a briefing on the national vaccination rollout programme and government efforts to fight Covid-19. Phaahla says as of yesterday, 3.2 million vaccines have been administered in Gauteng. The province is working on an “ambitious target” of vaccinating 100 000 people a day.
