More than 2-thousand SA Police-force members already vaccinated

The South African Police Service says it has, to date, administered 2 055 police officers with their Covid-19 vaccine.

The injections were administered at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto, and the SAPS Tshwane Academy vaccination site, following Monday’s launch of the vaccination programme.

According to the Police Service, more than 32-thousand police officers have tested positive for the virus while close to 31-thousand have recovered.

To date, 673 South African police force members have succumbed to the virus.
