More than 11 000 new coronavirus cases have been recorded in the country, over the latest 24-hour monitoring period.

Most of the 11 767 new infections were again recorded in Gauteng, with 64% of new cases followed by the Western Cape at 11%. Another 100 deaths have been reported and the death toll now stands on 58 323.
