Miss SA ushers in new era of inclusivity (Entries close soon)

Entries for Miss South Africa (Miss SA) 2025 officially close soon (11 April at 18h00), marking the final call for aspiring contestants to become one of the country’s most influential voices and role models.

The application process, which opened on 2 April, invites young women to step forward with boldness and authenticity in pursuit of the coveted title.

This year’s competition ushers in a more inclusive era, with notable changes to entry requirements. The age limit has been raised, with applicants between the ages of 20 and 32 (as of 30 August 2025) encouraged to apply. There are also no height or weight specifications, ensuring that the pageant continues its evolution beyond traditional beauty standards.

Current titleholder Mia Le Roux has encouraged applicants to approach the journey with an open heart and mind.

“You are allowed to be human and it’s okay if you don’t always have the answers to everything, as long as you show that you are completely at peace with who you are and that you are always willing to learn,” said Le Roux.

As in the past four years, Miss South Africa 2025 will be documented on Crown Chasers. New additions to the show can be expected as well, with more episodes and a special reunion episode after the finale.

Hopefuls who have yet to make their submissions can enter via the Miss SA App or at www.misssa.co.za. The process includes uploading images and an entry video, shared through personal social media channels. Entrants are also encouraged to access the Miss SA Masterclass and preparation sessions on social media for guidance throughout the process.
