Metrorail Western Cape says six suspects were arrested this week during a joint anti-crime-operation.

Stolen copper-cable, worth hundreds-of-thousand of Rand, was also recovered.

Metrorail W.C. spokes-person, Riana Scott, says 15 individuals and 14 vehicles were searched during the operation.

The operation, in collaboration with Transnet and the South African police, saw 24 officials carry out foot-patrols and scrap-yard inspections in crime-hot-spots across the Mother City.
