Matriculants will, for the first time in history, have to rewrite two of their national examinations.
This, after the Minister of Basic Education, Angie Motshekga, last week announced that Matrics will have to re-write their Mathematics 2 and Physical Science 2 exam-papers.
Minister Motshekga says the rewrites have been scheduled for 15 December and 17 December respectively.
Motshekga says the decision follows after the two papers in question, were leaked extensively among learners on Whatsapp before the exams.
The Minister again urged learners to be cautious, and to celebrate responsibly, as they wrap up their exams and start their December holidays.
Mosthekga says compliance to the covid-19 health- and safety regulations will ensure that young people keep themselves and their families safe from corona-virus-infection.
