Published on

The South African wine-industry has reiterated its call for Government to allow the sale of alcohol over weekends and after 17h00 daily.

Vinpro, a company that represents 3,500 wine-producers, cellars and other industry stakeholders, says the current restrictions on wine-sales will contribute to thousands of job losses across the industry.

Communications Manager at Vinpro, Wanda Augustyn, says the industry is currently loosing thousands of Rand in revenue, on a weekly basis.

Augustyn says lifting the sales-restrictions will help boost the industry’s revenue.
