The Western Cape Education Department says learners who are ill at the time of their Matric-exams, will have to write their examinations in June of next year.
This, after confirmation by the Department of Health yesterday, that 89 people have now tested positive for covid-19, after attending a party at a bar in Claremont earlier in October.
Director of Communication at the WCED, Bronagh Hammond, says the majority of those infected were Matric-learners from schools in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town.
