Premier Alan Winde and Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis have both welcomed the lifting of the last remaining covid-19 restrictions last night. From this morning, South Africans do not need, to wear masks. Hill-Lewis says this is good news for the economy, as well as for musicians, sports, and other events. Winde adds that he hopes that visitors will now descend in vast numbers on the city:
