[Listen]: Moseneke says Elections Review Panel will be guided by the Constitution

The leader of the newly-established Elections Review Panel, former Chief Justice Dikgang Moseneke, says their decision, on whether the country should continue with its local Government elections in October would be guided and informed by the country’s Constitution.

The Independent Electoral Commission yesterday announced the establishment of the panel, which, through consultations with political parties and health authorities, will decide if it would be wise to green-light the elections while the country is still in the throes of the Covid-19 pandemic.

He says the pandemic affected elections in countries across the globe.
