Less than 600 new cases of Covid-19 reported among Western Cape pupils and teachers in the past week

The Western Cape Health Department says less than 600 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported among pupils and teachers in the past week.

According to the Department, 521 new cases of covid-19 were reported among pupils from 6 to 13 September.

85 new infections were recorded among teachers in the same period.

In the previous period, from 30 August to 6 September, 830 new cases of the virus were reported among pupils and 133 cases among teachers.
