A group of Cape Town high school learners won the International Space Settlement Design Competition at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center and Walt Disney World Resort recently. Two of them joined us in studio today.

This is the first time an African team has competed in the competition’s 42-year history, and they won it at the first attempt. They were selected at South Africa’s first national space design competition, held at UCT in March, where 109 learners from nine schools took part.
