KILLARNEY REVS UP FOR THE BIGGEST MOTOR SHOW IN THE WESTERN CAPE!

Published on

The annual Killarney Motor Show, powered by the City of Cape Town and presented in association with Smile 90.4 FM, is set for Sunday 2 November – and it’s going to be the best yet!

There’s non-stop action all day at the biggest motor show in the Western Cape with thrilling displays of drifting, spinning, off-road action, stunts and more, as well as live music and entertainment for the whole family, fuelled by a mouth-watering variety of fine foods and beverages on offer.

You can catch a ride in a drift car (are you brave enough?), race a kart on our one-kilometre karting circuit and set your inner child free with rides for children of all ages at the fun fair.

There’s more than enough on the programme to keep you amazed and entertained from “Gates Open” at 10:00am to “Last Call” at 4:00pm, with more than 2000 displays, vendors and interactive experiences providing all -day entertainment for the whole family.

Tickets for this must-see annual celebration of Cape Town’s car culture are R130 for adults online, R98 for pensioners over 60, R45 for under-16s and free for under-12s, online from Webtickets. Tickets will also be available at the gate on the day at R160 for adults, R60 for under-16s and free for under-12’s. WPMC members, as always, get in free on production of their membership book at the gate.

Streamlined access through the gates and free on-site parking will ensure a hassle-free day at the Show for all our visitors and vendors.  Or you can avoid the queues altogether by pre-purchasing your tickets online, parking at Bayside Mall in nearby Table View and catching the free MyCiti Shuttle to the show, where you will walk straight in through a dedicated pedestrian entrance – and stand a chance to win a special prize for which only MyCiti shuttle riders are eligible!

The Killarney Motor Show is a not to be missed showcase for the latest cars, bakkies, motorcycles and accessories, a celebration of Cape Town’s vibrant streetcar culture and a gallery of lovingly restored and maintained classic vehicles. But it is also so much more, with dozens of racing vehicles on display and hundreds of stalls offering a huge variety of motoring accessories and memorabilia.

The paddock behind the Clubhouse brings together hundreds of exotics bearing names such as Porsche, Jaguar and Alfa Romeo, but you’ll also see race cars old and new, as well as restored family cars from bygone days.
