More than 33 000 doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine were supposed to arrive earlier this week, but it looks like it might come next week only. Mbombo says there’s still pressure on the health system next week, with regards to the availability of vaccines but things are looking better, for the following week. Meanwhile, the provincial head of health, dr Keith Cloete says getting vaccinated remains crucial to ward off another wave of infections. At the moment, hospitals are taking strain. Cloete says another increase in hospitalization is also being felt in the public sector.
