R&B star R Kelly has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for his sex crimes. The singer has been convicted of racketeering and sex trafficking after several survivors came forward with stories of systemic abuse. Homeland Security Investigation’s Steve Francis says the sentence caps a slow-motion fall from grace for Kelly, who had once been adored by millions, even after allegations about his abuse of young girls in the 90s.
