“I accidentally hurt my child!” Parents Share Their Moments of Guilt

In Lindy’s Stat Chat the team heard that the average parent experiences about 23 pangs of parental guilt every week. Some of that guilt can stay with you beyond a week, as is the case with Lindy who accidentally bumped her little boy’s head (don’t worry he is okay). As it turns out Bobby also had a moment that left him feeling bad:

We weren’t expecting the amount of parents who share the same kind of guilt about mishaps they’ve had looking after their kids:

If you can relate don’t feel too bad. Mistakes happen and holding onto that guilt can actually get in the way of you bonding with your kids. The team spoke to counselor and parenting expert Shenaaz Moos who gave the parents on the team some advice on self forgiveness:

Lindy got a bit of a surprise when Lindy’s mom called in to confess that she herself had an incident when Lindy was little:

So moments after causing little Lindy to run into a door frame they still went ahead with the picture. We think the photographer did a pretty good job. Can you spot the bruise?
