Hout Bay has been rocked by a triple murder. Cape Town Police have confirmed this morning that the bodies of three men were discovered before midnight last night in a vehicle, at Holomisa Square.

 

“The level of violence displayed in this incident is deeply concerning,” said Lieutenant-General Patekile.

Hout Bay has been rocked by a triple murder

 

Colonel Andrè Traut says members were called out to the scene at approximately 23:45 on Tuesday, 14 October 2025. There, they discovered a silver Hyundai i20 and inside were the bodies of three unidentified men. Traut says all three victims had sustained gunshot wounds.

 

Lieutenant-General Patekile said, “We urge community members to work with us by providing any information that could assist in tracking down those behind this crime.”

Traut says the motive for the triple murder is yet to be established. At this stage, extortion-related activity has not been ruled out as a possible factor. Meanwhile, the Provincial Commissioner of the Western Cape, Lieutenant General (Adv) Thembisile Patekile, has strongly condemned the senseless act of violence. He has described it as a callous disregard for human life.

Traut says detectives from the Provincial Serious and Violent Crime Unit have launched an investigation and are pursuing all leads. This is an effort to identify those responsible and bring them to justice.
