Health Minister Dr Joe Phaahla says the vaccination card, which is generally called a vaccination passport, will not deprive people of their basic human rights.

At this stage, the card is not compulsory. He says the government is exploring the use of co-called vaccine passports. Phaahla says the government wants to call it a vaccination card/proof, and for it to be used as an encouragement and incentive. The plan of using the vaccination card/proof will hopefully be concluded in the next 2 weeks.
