Health Minister defends government measures against Covid-19, disagrees with ‘armchair critics’

Health Minister Dr Joe Phaahla has defended the government’s measures against the Covid-19 pandemic and disagrees with “armchair critics” calling for the abolishing of such measures. Phaahla, delivering his first budget vote speech as health minister after replacing the disgraced Zweli Mkhize in August 2021, says vaccines remain the best defence against the virus and also advocated for the National Health Insurance.
