Transfer applications for Grades 2-7 and Grades 9-12
Maynier says transfer applications should be completed at the relevant school to which the parent/caregiver wishes to apply to. They can also visit their nearest WCED office. This applies to school transfer requests for learners who are already attending school in Grades 2-7 and Grades 9-12. It’s also important to note that schools can only capture
applications for their institution. Meanwhile, district officials can capture applications for multiple schools.
He says parents or caregivers must fill out the WCED application form, which can also be downloaded from the WCED website. The form can only be submitted to schools or the district office from 1 August 2024 onwards.
Those who submit forms can also drop them off at the school directly. The application form and supporting documents should be left at the school. Those people who would like to submit it electronically via e-mail should also contact the school for details.
