GABS bus-driver injured in shooting incident near Borcherds Quarry Road

A Cape Town bus driver was wounded near Borcherds Quarry Road earlier today after being caught in the crossfire during a taxi-related shooting.

No passengers were injured.

Golden Arrow Bus Service spokesperson, Bronwen Dyke-Beyer says initial reports and witnesses indicate that it was a stray bullet which was aimed at a taxi, which had multiple shots fired at it

She said the driver was taken to hospital, where he was treated for a superficial wound.

This is the second GABS driver to sustain a gunshot wound in the ongoing taxi violence in Cape Town.

Nyanga police have opened an attempted murder case.
