Eskom: Evidence of Sabotage at Free State Power Station

Published on

Eskom CEO Andre De Ruyter says there is now clear evidence that the electrical grid is being sabotaged to force the country into loadshedding.

He says distribution lines of a pylon at the Lethabo Power Station in the Free State were cut. It caused the pylon to topple over.

The pylon fell just before 18:00 on Wednesday evening, immediately before evening peak demand hours. The matter has been handed over to the Hawks.
