Eskom CEO Andre de Ruyter has assured South Africans there will NOT be total collapse of the power system.

The country is now on Stage 3 loadshedding as the power utility continues to work on returning more units to service. Stage 4 was implemented earlier this week after the Majuba and Tutuka power stations tripped. De Ruyter has denied that the entire system was at risk and has reiterated that loadshedding is in fact the tool that protects the system from collapse.
