The top three in the English Premier League have been in a league of their own this season, and are slowly breaking away from the rest.
While fourth-placed West Ham United (27 points) over the weekend defended their home ground at the London Stadium, beating Chelsea 3-2 to see them lose their grip of the peak, the Blues (33 points) are still in a comfortable position in third place.
That saw Manchester City (35 points) rise to the top, with Liverpool (34 points) on their tail.
What really sets the top three apart is not only their goal-scoring ability – but also their defence. They all boast an impressive Goal Difference (GD) record. Though only 5 clubs in the Premier League have a positive GD, The Blues, Reds and Citizens sit head and shoulders above the rest.
Catch them if you can.

While Man United sit in sixth place with a GD of one, West Ham in fourth with a GD of nine, Chelsea enjoys a GD of 26, Liverpool 32 and Man City 23.
They’ve all proven themselves worthy of the 2021/2022 title. And though the Premier League only recently crossed the halfway mark, it will be interesting to see who can maintain the momentum.
