The well-known Liberian politician, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf says although international co-operation has helped the World make great strides in the fight against Covid-19, more will need to be done to avoid a future disease-outbreak from becoming a pandemic.

She participated in the Friends of Multilateralism’s Round-table this week and said the pandemic had to date killed more than 3-million people globally, while it also wiped out more than US$ 10-billion in economic output.

She says future pandemics can be even more devastating to the global economy.
