The DHL Stormers have officially unveiled their new gear for the 2025/26 season, with adidas returning as the team’s technical apparel partner after an eight-year absence.
Described by the franchise as more than just a new look, the partnership marks “a homecoming” as the iconic three adidas stripes are reunited with the DHL Stormers’ famous hoops. The collaboration, officials say, reflects both tradition and modern evolution, capturing the pride of Cape Town rugby and its loyal supporters.

The home jersey, themed “Reunite the Stripes”, showcases the club’s heritage with bold blue and white hoops. It is described as “a statement of legacy. A symbol of unity. Worn with heart, it carries the hopes of the Cape; past, present, and rising.”

The away jersey, titled “Remix the Stripes”, draws inspiration from the vibrant streets of Bo-Kaap. Featuring bright shades of pink, lime, and cyan, it “celebrates freedom, energy, and individuality” while honouring a community known for its rich rugby heritage.

DHL Stormers Director of Rugby John Dobson welcomed the renewed partnership.
“We are all thrilled to have adidas back and we know that our fans will embrace this move and the incredible kit that we will be playing in this season… The iconic blue and white hoops are synonymous with the rich history of rugby in the Cape, while the away jersey pays homage to the Bo-Kaap which has produced so many passionate rugby people over the years.”
Adidas said the design was as much about performance as it was about style. The jerseys are made from 100% recycled polyester, with lightweight, moisture-wicking fabric and reinforced stitching.
“It’s a great honour for us to be reunited with the DHL Stormers… This partnership is about more than sport; it’s about honouring tradition whilst also celebrating a new era of bold ambition,” said Tom Brown, Senior Brand Director at adidas South Africa.

The jerseys will retail at R999, with the home edition available from 19 September and the away kit from 3 October through the Stormers’ official outlets and selected retailers.
