DBE urges teachers to get their Covid-19 injection this week

The Department of Basic Education has urged teachers and other school-support staff, who qualify for their Covid-19 injection, to get their vaccination this week.

This after the DBE announced the extension of the sector’s vaccination programme until 14 July this week.

Media relations-officer at the DBE, Terence Khala.

Khala says the DBE hopes to vaccinate the majority of the country’s more than 700-thousand teachers and other staff by the end of this week.
