Cosatu has slammed the salary hikes of public office bearers, saying it’s unfair when compared to the salaries of public service workers.

President Cyril Ramaphosa has accepted recommendations to increase the salaries of politicians and other government officials by 3%. Cosatu’s Deputy President, Michael Shingange says they hope the government carries this forward when public servants demand what they think they deserve, in the upcoming wage negotiations.
