City brings mobile services to Manenberg, Athlone and Belhar

This week the City of Cape Town’s Corporate Services Directorate is bringing its basket of services offering to Manenberg and its mobile office to Athlone and Belhar.

 

Several City departments will be in attendance to present their services and will assist residents with enquiries or concerns that affect them.

 

‘Taking the City’s services to the communities of Manenberg, Athlone and Belhar is the City’s way of showing that we are committed to bringing services to residents and making local government more accessible to all. Those who will be visiting us at these City facilities on their respective days must please remember to bring along their ID or municipal accounts to help ease the process,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Corporate Services, Alderman Theresa Uys.

 

The details of the visit are as follows:

 

  • Wednesday, 23 October 2024, from 09:00 to 15:00 at the Downs Community Hall, Usk Road, Manenberg.
  • Thursday, 24 October 2024, from 15:00 to 19:00 at the Dulcie September Civic Centre, Cnr Protea and Eland Streets, Athlone
  • Friday, 25 October 2024, from 10:00 to 14:00 at Erica Park Sports Facility, Cnr Erica Drive and Chestnut, Belhar

 

 

The departments that will be present at the Downs Community Hall are:

 

  • Human Resources: For enquiries about bursaries, internships and Apprenticeships.
  • Social Development: To find out how you can get involved.
  • Energy: For information and related inquiries.
  • Health: For more about primary health care services.
  • Safety and Security: For information about traffic and law enforcement services.
  • EPWP: Will assist jobseekers and unemployed youth with opportunities to register on the jobseekers database so that they are eligible for job opportunities that become available in their local communities.
  • Customer Relations Mobile Unit

 

For the Dulcie September Civic Centre:

 

  • Urban Mobility Directorate

 

And for the Erica Park Sports Facility:

 

  • Human Settlements

 

Customers can engage with the City in a wide range of non-emergency enquiries such as rates, sewage, electricity, water, refuse collections, and all other account enquiries.
