C.T. Business Expansion and Retention initiative launched

Published on

The City’s Directorate for Economic Opportunities says its newly-launched Business Expansion and Retention initiative, will help businesses better recover from the negative effects of the national lockdown.

The initiative was launched in Atlantis yesterday, and entails engaging with businesses to determine exactly how businesses can be assisted by the City, to rebuild after the covid-19 pandemic.

Mayco member at the Directorate, James Vos says the EAP has been compiled on the premise of three stages: response; adaptation and recovery; and stabilization.

The plan also entails enhancing business retention efforts, making it easier for expansion and investment to resume again, equipping businesses for new ways of working, and utilising the City’s sectoral support approach to identify and exploit new sectoral opportunities emerging from the crisis.
