Boys need positive role models to break toxic masculinity

Boys need to have positive role models, to break the cycle of toxic masculinity and prevent gender-based violence. So says Professor Amanda Gouws, from the department of political science at Stellenbosch University. Gouws has welcomed the emphasis President Cyril Ramaphosa has placed on the responsibility of men, during his Women’s Day address, and says it’s about time, that men get the blame.
