  The National Council of SPCAs (NSPCA) has arrested the self-proclaimed “King of Crocodile” after a disturbing video surfaced on social media in January 2025, showing the suspect torturing a Nile crocodile.   The widely circulated TikTok video depicts the individual repeatedly kicking and beating the crocodile before striking it multiple times in the mouth with a slasher.   The crocodile was later euthanised over its extensive injuries.   Upon being alerted to the video,

  The CEO of PRASA Rail, Nelson Malefane, along with the Western Cape Rail management and technical teams, conducted a site visit to the Central Line, including Nolungile, Nonkqubela, and Kapteinsklip stations, this week.   The purpose of the visit was to assess the progress made thus far in extending services on the Central Line.   The Central Line was completely closed in October 2019, and with no security on site, equipment was stolen and
