    The case against three men accused of the murder of Karin Van Aardt has been postponed in the Bishop Lavis Magistrate’s Court to allow for further investigation and a formal bail application.     The City of Cape Town’s Law Enforcement agency and the Bonteheuwel community are mourning the loss of a local officer part of the Law Enforcement Advancement Plan (LEAP) unit.    The City confirmed the identity of the officer as 20-year-old Lyle Thomas, who was off duty when he assisted police at the scene of an accident on Jakes Gerwel Drive in the early hours of Sunday morning.   The Western Cape SAPS said

    A police investigation is seeking to establish the circumstances of a man’s death, after his body washed up on the shore in Sea Point.     The unidentified male was found in the water near the Sea Point Pavilion on Sunday.     Western Cape police spokesperson FC Van Wyk confirmed that the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear.
