Biden extends US state of emergency to 1 March

Published on

US President Joe Biden on Friday extended the country’s state of emergency until 1 March.

He says the decision was taken because of the continuing risk to public health due to Covid-19.

To date, more than 900-thousand US citizens have died from Covid-19.

The state of emergency was announced in March 2020 by former President Donald Trump.
