Liverpool and West Ham United played an exciting football match at Anfield. Liverpool won 3-1. The match showed how good Liverpool is at scoring goals and how determined they are to be at the top of the Premier League.
The match started with a lot of action. Tomas Soucek from West Ham had a chance to score, but Liverpool’s goalkeeper Alisson made an amazing save. Michail Antonio also missed a good opportunity to score for West Ham.
In the 15th minute, Mohamed Salah from Liverpool was fouled and the referee awarded Liverpool a penalty. Salah scored the penalty and Liverpool took the lead.
But West Ham didn’t give up. Jarrod Bowen scored a great header to equalize the score. It was similar to a previous goal by James Ward-Prowse against Manchester City.
Liverpool kept attacking and Darwin Nunez scored a fantastic goal with a pass from Alexis Mac Allister. This goal made the Liverpool fans very happy.
In the 85th minute, Diogo Jota scored another goal for Liverpool, securing their victory.
After the match, Liverpool were in second place in the Premier League, just two points behind Manchester City. West Ham were in seventh place with 10 points.
