There was another mass murder in Cape Town. This time, 4 young men were shot dead in Gugulethu. The Police’s Colonel André Traut says no one has been arrested yet.
Another mass killing in Cape Town
According to reports, officers were called out to the murder scene in NY 3A at about 8 pm on Friday night. Colonel Traut says the bodies of the victims were discovered with multiple gunshot wounds. He says they believe the victims were in their twenties.

Detectives from the Serious and Violent Crimes Unit have launched an investigation. He says crime scene experts were deployed to the scene to collect evidence. Colonel Traut says all available clues are being followed up as police members track down the perpetrators of this heinous crime.
No arrests yet

Western Cape Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General (Adv) Thembisile Patekile appreciated the efforts by the community who shared valuable information that led to the recovery of the drugs and to bring the perpetrator thereof to book.
Drugs confiscated
He added, “The suspect will appear in the Khayelitsha Magistrates on Monday, 2025-04-07, for possession of drugs.”
Court appearance
When they arrived there, they saw a lady on the premises carrying a big green bag and found 10 big packets with mandrax tablets and 4 small clear packets also with mandrax tablets. The Police’s Captain Frederick C. van Wyk says when counted each packet contained 1000 units of mandrax tablets. He says inside the four small packets, 100 mandrax tablets were found.
