A teacher in the North West is in a critical condition in hospital after a colleague, who allegedly refused to disinfect his hands, stabbed her several times yesterday.

The 64-year-old suspect apparently refused to disinfect his hands and have his temperature taken when he entered the school hall.

After a verbal altercation with the female teacher, he allegedly stabbed her in the neck and back several times.

She is currently in a critical condition in hospital.
