Acting school head Colin Davids says he did not see what happened, but could confirm that paramedics had taken the pupil to the hospital. Western Cape Education Department spokesperson Bronagh Hammond says a fight had broken out between pupils and non-pupils. It was allegedly between rival gangs.
A school pupil has been stabbed outside Heathfield High School in Cape Town.
