A man was fatally stabbed at the Bellville taxi rank. According to Warrant Officer Joseph Swartbooi, Bellville Police have launched a murder investigation following the fatal stabbing incident. The murder occured at a local taxi rank on Monday, 14 July 2025.

Swartbooi says officers responded to an emergency call just after 12:00 and discovered the body of a man at the scene. The victim had sustained multiple stab wounds and was declared dead by medical personnel upon their arrival.

Authorities urge witnesses to come forward

 

He says the attack occurred in broad daylight at the busy Bellville taxi rank and has sent shockwaves through commuters and vendors in the area. At this stage, the motive behind the brutal assault remains unknown.

Police Investigation Underway

 

The suspect or suspects fled the scene before Police arrived. Police have confirmed that no arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.
