The provincial education department has lauded learners at the Table View Primary School, who celebrated their principal’s 50th birthday earlier this month by doing the Jerusalema Dance Challenge.

This in the light of president Cyril Ramaphosa last week calling on South Africans to celebrate Heritage Day this Thursday by doing the dance, that has taken the world by storm.

The school’s marketer, Bianca Akerman, says during the challenging times of Covid-19, the school has embraced the motto ‘Superheroes Wear Masks’ and their principal, Mr Gouws (aka Batman) has been the school’s superhero leading them through these times of uncertainty.
