President Cyril Ramaphosa has paid tribute to renowned human rights lawyer George Bizos, who has passed away. He died on Wednesday afternoon at his home, at the age of 92.
Bizos played a pivotal role in South Africa’s democracy, and is one of the founding fathers of the country’s Constitution. He represented Nelson Mandela in both the Treason and Rivonia trials.
