The Department of Basic Education says the newly-launched, Health-Check platform, will help prevent the spread of covid-19 at the country’s schools.

The platform, launched in collaboration with E-cubed yesterday, forms part of the Teacher Connect platform, and provides an easy-to-use way to digitally screen learners for covid-19, on a daily basis, before the start of the school day.

Minister Angie Motshekga says Health-Check has already been used very successfully at tertiary institutions across the country, with almost 3.5-million checks already completed to date.
